The Origin – A Brand Born of Vision and the Jagdamba Pearls Legacy Centuries ago, long before Hyderabad became a metropolis, caravans carried spices and silks through its arid plains. But it was the shimmering pearls — born of faraway oceans — that gave the city its soul. Traders from the Persian Gulf arrived with satchels of Basra pearls, their iridescent glow catching the eyes of the Nizams and their royal court. In candlelit workshops, skilled artisans bent over simple wooden benches, drilling, bleaching, and stringing pearls into seven-strand Satlada necklaces — pieces that became symbols of prestige and grace. Under royal patronage, Hyderabad transformed into the City of Pearls, a place where wealth was not just counted in gold but weighed in ropes of white, pink, and golden pearls.
